Maintenance is an important factor in the appearance and longevity of your space. You spent a lot of time, money, and resources on your new playground, so we want to teach you how it keep it looking it’s best, and performing to high standards.
Surface Maintenance
The most common accessible playground surface types are pour-in-place rubber, rubber tiles, engineered wood fibre (EWF), and artificial turf or grass.
Rubber Surfaces
Pour-In-Place rubber is known for its durability, safety, and accessibility. It’s seamless design and long-term performance make it a great choice for high-use areas. You can also embed designs into the rubber, making it entirely customizable. For maintenance, once at the beginning of each season, power wash your surface to remove any dirt, grime, and debris that may have gotten in between the rubber granules. This process helps prevent cracks, bumps, and wear and tear.
EWF (Engineered Wood Fibre)
Engineered wood fibre is a great alternative to rubber, balancing safety, accessibility, and cost-effectiveness. While EWF does require periodic top up and levelling, it is relatively simple and cost effective to maintain.
Artificial Turf
Artificial turf is a great alternative to bring a natural feel into a space without the maintenance of sod.
Equipment Maintenance
Paint chips, surface marks, and accumulated dirt are natural outcomes of regular park use. As with playground surfacing, maintaining clean equipment is essential in preserving both apperance and user experience. Routine cleaning- such as gentle power washing (with care to protect painted finishes) can help keep your space looking well-maintained. While not strictly required, these efforts ensure your colour palette remains vibrant.
If paint damage such as chipping or flaking is observed, please contact us. We can provide accurate colour-matched solutions and assist in restoring the equipment’s original finish efficiently.
For equipment repairs or part replacements, we are always available to help. Should any components become worn or damaged, our team will work with you to identify the appropriate solution and support timely restoration.
Outer Amenities and Surfacing Maintenance
In addition to primary play equipment and surfacing, incorporating well-maintained park amenities can significantly enhance the overall use experience. Clean, inviting seating and pathways ensure the space remains accessible for all users.
